Carta: Throw

Carta is made with multiple block layers of high texture sarees giving it a topographical quality.  Silk brocade and woven wool sarees in light pink, rust and green are merged with a light pink merino backing and ebellished with handspun locky yarn.  

Measures 50 x 80" backed by a soft pink merino wool prefelt.

Cosset & Lock Silk and Wool Textiles are made using a unique process of felting to marry together the strength, beauty, and qualities of silk and wool natural fibers. Because I use repurposed sarees, and due to the handmade process, every blanket has unique characteristics and distinctive occurrences.
