Reef: Throw

Reef is a soft and pleasing throw made with 1/2 woven wool and silk saree and 1/2 pure silk printed saree to create bouncing colors and textures throughout.  Handspun thick and thin yarn coordinates and embellishes.  Ends are finished with Abalone Manos Del Uruguay silk and wool yarn and sides have ruffled edges of saree created by the felting process.   

Measures 51 x 79" and is backed with light pink soft merino felt.  

Cosset & Lock Silk and Wool Textiles are made using a unique process of felting to marry together the strength, beauty, and qualities of silk and wool natural fibers. Because I use repurposed sarees, and due to the handmade process, every blanket has unique characteristics and distinctive occurrences.
