Concrete Jungle: Kindred Throws

I created the Kindred Throw Set, cut from the same cloth, for your soulmate, best friend, twin, sister, partner, or anyone who shares two hearts, to enjoy near or far. The set includes two blankets made with the same sarees and super fine merino wool backing.

This Kindred Throw Set is made with pure silk printed sarees, accented with gold silk brocade sarees and superfine bulky merino yarn on dark grey merino wool.   Ends are finished with Marziban Manos Del Uruguay silk and wool yarn and sides have ruffled edges of saree created by the felting process.   

One measures 48 x 78" and the other 50 x 75" and is backed with dark gray merino felt.  

Cosset & Lock Silk and Wool Textiles are made using a unique process of felting to marry together the strength, beauty, and qualities of silk and wool natural fibers. Because I use repurposed sarees and due to the handmade process, every blanket has unique characteristics and distinctive occurrences.
