Chiz Biz: Throw

One of my favorite things to say in Nepali is "rangi changi chiz biz" which means colorful things.  This throw is made with layers of colorful pure silk printed saree to create a variety of designs and textures throughout.   Thick and thin hand spun yarn also changes color along the way.  Ends are finished with Abalone Manos Del Uruguay silk and wool yarn and sides have ruffled edges of saree silk created by the felting process.   

Measures 44 x 74" and is backed with soft earth toned merino wool.

Because I use repurposed sarees, and due to the handmade process, every blanket has unique characteristics and distinctive occurrences.
