Coquette: Throw

Coquette is rich in texture and style.  Bright pink woven silk saree and woolen sarees blend with pink wool backing.  The throw is embellished with silk ribbon and a think and think handspun merino yarn.  One long edge is grey woven wool and the other cream brocade silk.  

Cosset & Lock Silk and Wool Textiles are made using a unique process of felting to marry together the strength, beauty, and qualities of silk and wool natural fibers. Because I use repurposed sarees, and due to the handmade process, every blanket has unique characteristics and distinctive occurrences.  

Coquette measures 49 x 78 inches and is backed by raspberry merino prefelt.
